Mr. Michael Itegboje has over the decades set a record in the Nigeria Stock Exchange as the Stockbroker with the largest single transaction in 1976 during the Call-over Era. He was a stockbroker to the issue in the SmithKline Beecham Plc. and Sterling Nigeria Plc. In 1996/97 he was also the Stockbroker that listed the two Billion-IBTC Nigeria Equity Fund in 1998.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agric Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu, Nigeria, a Master of Science Degree (MSc.) in Corporate Governance and Finance from John Moors University, Liverpool, UK, an MBA from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Moore Hall, UK and also obtained a certification in advanced management program from the Lagos Business School, Lagos,

He is a Fellow National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria; a Fellow Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS); served as the President/ Chairman of the Council, CIS; was a Member of the Council of the CIS; was the 2nd vice president of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers; Chairman Examination Committee of the institute; Member, Governing Board of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN); Lagos Business School Alumni– Life Member; Advanced Leadership Program, Haggai Institute, Maui, Hawaii USA; Certificate in Options and Futures trading; Certificates in Fixed Income and Alternative Investments, respectively from the  University of Reading, Reading, UK, and New York Institute of Finance, New York, USA.

He has served in various strategic committees in the Capital market at different times between 1996 and 2019 such as the Bond Market Reactivation Committee of Stock Exchange Commission, The Stock Exchange Commission, and Ten Years Capital Market Literacy Master Plan 2015 to 2025.
